Rios-Caledonia Research Library
Inside the Rios- Caledonia Research Library
This online access feature of the Rios-Caledonia Adobe has been built around the considerable collection of books, documents and photos bequeathed to the Adobe by historian and educator Wally Ohles.
The collection focuses on the history of San Miguel, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo County, Monterey County, California, the Missions, and the Indians of the American West. Although nothing may be "checked out" to take home, the Library is open to researchers on Friday afternoons from 12:30 to 3:00 or by appointment.
The Library Catalog can be accessed online by clicking here. To search the catalog, enter your key words in the search box at the far right on the catalog's home page. After you have a list of results, you may do a new search by clicking on the [x] next to your search terms above the list of titles retrieved. Choose "Your Library" or "All Collections" in the box at the top left and enter new key words in the "Search" box at the far right for a new search. Or narrow the options in the drop-down menu in the box at the top left, and browse the different subject areas separately after clearing your previous search terms[x].
The Library also houses an extensive collection of photographs and uncatalogued materials relating to the history of the area surrounding the Rios-Caledonia Adobe. Please call or come in during open hours for more information on these materials.
We look forward to seeing you!
